Our theatre program is a combined program for students at CHS and CVHS. Classes are held at CHS in the black box theatre. We are dedicated to exposing students to the collaborative nature of theatre through an in-depth, multilayered approach. Through high school theater classes, technical training, and opportunities to participate in professional caliber productions, students learn to communicate and expand their imagination, creativity, thoughts, and emotions. Additionally, high school level theater students learn history and expand both their literacy and math skills through practical work in classes and productions. They also experience a heightened sense of culture and community, an ability to make critical value judgments, and improvement in self-discipline, self-motivation, self-esteem and social interaction.
